During May 2016, we did a road trip from Bangkok driving due north to Loei province, then back down through Khon Kaen visiting some friends along the way.

The first stop was at Khao Kho National Park where we stopped for several days. Next we continued further north to Chang Khan which is on the Mekong River and also on the border to Laos. From there we turned west towards Nong Khai, then down to Udon Thani and Khon Kaen. Finally back down south to Wang Nam Khiao and back to Bangkok.
