Panoramic drone photos taken from directly above the Bangkok Seaview Restaurant looking back towards the land. Bangkok City is on the horizon and 20 kms away.

The border marker that separates Bangkok and Samut Prakan provinces is several hundred metres further offshore, and just a short 1 minute flight by drone.

Bang Khun Thian is a district in Bangkok City that is sandwiched between Samut Sakhon and Samut Prakan provinces, and is the only part of Bangkok city that actually meets the ocean.

We went there for lunch at the Bangkok Seaview restaurant, whose claim to fame is that it is the only restaurant in Bangkok that is on the coast. It's about a 20 minute boat ride from the restaurant car park out to the restaurant.
